Twenty Seven

I wasn’t able to blog on my birthday (August 31) as I was too lazy that day. I just spent my day in bed. Wasn’t that happy knowing my husband is going away on my actual birthday. =(

My sister came home from the office with pizza and red ribbon cake though. She is so thoughtful. Thanks sis!

The day before my birthday August 30th, I decided to have a pre-birthday celebration as most of my family will be very busy on my actual birthday. And my husband will be gone for a tour on my birthday itself. I don’t want to celebrate alone. So I told my family that we will be going to have dinner on the 30th (my birthday is Aug 31st) at Chili Peppers. I also invited my cousins and aunt on my father and mother side. We we’re 15 in total. The celebration was simple but super fun! The food was delicious!

Here are the pics:

Thanks Hon for everything!

I love my family so much!

Novena Prayer For St. Anne

My dear friend Kathy emailed me today. Thanks Mare! I really appreciate your concern.

She suggested me this prayer.

I printed this and will pray later before going to bed and when I woke up tomorrow. I wanted this prayer to be my everyday prayer until this baby comes out. I know that we will be fine. I am being positive.

Prayer for Expectant Mothers #2

O Good Saint Anne,
who had the incomparable
privilege of bringing into the
world
Her who was to become the Mother of God,
I come to place myself
under your special care.
I confide myself to you,
together with the child I am carrying.
Thousands of
children owe you,
Glorious Mother of Mary,
the
life of the body and the grace of baptism.
Hence I wish, in my turn,
to place my whole confidence in you.
Make me keep in
mind the precautions I need to take
so as not to endanger in any way the health,
good qualities or the eternal salvation
of the child whose very existence
God has placed in my care.
Obtain for me
the virtues you did teach Her who was to be the Mother of
God,
so that I may afterwards
instil and develop them
in the heart of my child.
O
Good Saint Anne,
protect me today and forever.
I know that you
will not refuse your intercession
to a mother who invokes you with confidence.
Amen

Please continue praying for us.

Thank You!

OB Check Up Today

We are going to my OB today.

I am so bothered about the impression on my ultrasound so we need to consult our doctor about it. The radiologist said I am low normal on my amniotic fluid. I researched about it and read a lot of not so good stuff. I am worried. I guess it is better to go to my OB and hear her advice. I cried about this a few days ago and hubby just can’t take it seeing me so worried so we opted to go to the OB today. I just hope that me and our baby will be fine. I cannot handle another trauma on this one.

Please pray for me and the baby. We badly need it.

Thanks!

Pork Adobo with Pineapple

DSC_1697 copy

We have pork in the freezer and I was thinking on how to cook it today. I don’t want another crispy adobo for lunch so I went online and searched for a pork recipe. I found this Pork Adobo with Pineapple and thank God I have all the ingredients. I followed the procedure on how to cook it. After a few minutes my Pork Adobo with Pineapple is ready. I called hubby for lunch and we ate. Thank God it tastes good. It’s yummy said the husband. I am now a happy wife! My cooking is a success! Another recipe added to my box.

1/2 kilo pork, cut in large cube
1/2 fresh pineapple, skin/shell on
1/4 cup vinegar
1/2 cup pineapple juice
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 head garlic, crushed, chopped
1 thumb size ginger, sliced
2 small size onion, quartered
1 medium size bell pepper, cut into large squares
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. peppercorns
2-3 pieces bay leaf

Using a small knife and a spoon curve and scoop out the meat from the pineapple, discard the core and cut meat into large cubes, keep aside. Cut/chop flat the bottom of the pineapple shell/bowl to keep it from rolling, keep aside. In a sauce pan place the pork, garlic, ginger, peppercorns, bay leaf, vinegar, soy sauce, pineapple juice and 1/2 cup of water bring to a boil and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until most of the liquid has evaporated. Now stir in the sugar, onions, pineapple and bell pepper, cook for another 5-10 minutes or until almost dry. Remove from pan and pour the adobo in the pineapple shell/bowl. Serve with a lot of rice.

I got the recipe here: http://overseaspinoycooking.blogspot.com/2010/02/pork-adobo-with-pineapple.html

I can now use my laptop in bed! Woot! I bought this online at The Digi King. My friend Kaje and Zanne recommended this site to me. Kaje also purchased a laptop table a few weeks ago and she loved it. So I decided to buy one too. I also got a keyboard protector film along with this table. The online store is super recommended. They ship fast and has a good customer service. I will surely buy from them again.

*Zanne buy yours na!!!! LOL!

Worried

worriedI went to my OB yesterday and performed a laboratory test for my blood glucose. I was given a 240ml Orange drink. I drank it and waited an hour for it to take effect. Then the medical technician got some blood samples from me. And I kept on praying and praying while waiting for the result. When she handed me the paper I went straight to my OB and ask her to read the result. I felt sad when she told me that I am POSSIBLE for Gestational Diabetes. =( As she was explaining what that was to me and my husband, a lot of things are running through my head. I was thinking if I had that also during my pregnancy with my first born Huey. Maybe that was one of the reason why he was a special child? And I was also blaming myself for not watching what I eat. I gained a lot on my first pregnancy and I didn’t even remember my OB (different from my current) ask me to perform those tests. Hmp!

I wanted all the best to make this baby healthy. And I will do everything to make him/her normal when he/she comes out. And who cares if my foods are tasteless? And my milk tastes like fresh milk? Or my after meal dessert will be skipped. WHO CARES!!! I can do this! AJA!

Please pray for me.

Thanks in advance!

Blessed

Right now all I can say is that I am so blessed.

Here are the 10 things I am grateful for this month:

  1. With a loving and caring husband that is always there for me. Helping me in getting up in the morning as it is so hard to get up with a heavy tummy. And checking up on me every now and then if I already drink my vitamins or taken my lunch and snack.
  2. This baby inside my tummy who constantly reminds me (by kicking =D) that there is still hope in life. That in 3 months time we will finally see each other. I am so excited!
  3. The work I’ve been receiving and will be receiving.
  4. To the money I get from working which I can use to buy stuffs that I want. Weeee!!! Shopping time!!!
  5. To my family who makes me happy every time I pay them a visit. We will see each other again on weekends.♥♥♥
  6. Staying at home and working at the same time. Yes I can work even in my pajamas. Super thankful!
  7. To my hobby which is scrapbooking who brings out the creativity in me. And keeps me stress free whenever I am making a LO.
  8. To my online friends whom I interact with almost every day. Thanks girls! I love all of you! ♥♥
  9. To the food I (and baby’s too) eat everyday.
  10. For the internet. Because without it my life will be boring.

Thank God for all of these things that I am thankful for. Thank You for always giving me blessings everyday. Thank You for this life you gave me. Thank You!
